Membership

When God saves us into renewed relationship with Himself, He also saves us into a family that we get to live alongside for His glory. This is one of the gifts He gives us to help us grow closer to Him.

Therefore, the members of Pioneer Church are intentional about actually “living together.” We believe that “membership” in a church family should be as meaningful as it is portrayed to be in Scripture. Thus, we don’t consider church membership to be a title alone…but a commitment, covenant, and promise to God and the brothers and sisters whom He places you alongside in your church body!

Steps to Become a Member

  • At Pioneer, we offer what we call Connect Classes. Attendance at a Connect Class is the first step toward becoming a member, but attending one does NOT guarantee you become a member after the class is completed. There are additional steps toward membership, and additional time for potential members to consider whether they want to move forward in the process after completing the class.

Connect Classes are taught by our pastors and they allow attendees to learn more about Pioneer Church’s beliefs, practices, and what life as a member can be expected to be like.

The Classes are offered once a quarter. If you’re interested in attending one the next time they’re offered, please RSVP by clicking the button above.

  • After completing the Connect Class, you will be contacted about meeting with one of our pastors to provide some basic information as you prayerfully consider becoming a member at Pioneer.

In this meeting, a pastor will listen to your testimony of belief in Jesus, give direction for next steps in moving toward membership, get a signed membership covenant from you, answer any final questions you may have, and pray for the Lord to continue working in your life.

    Pioneer Church Covenant

  • Once the other steps have been completed, a pastor will present you to the congregation by sharing a brief recap of your testimony at one of our Members Meetings. After hearing your testimony, the congregation will vote to either affirm you for membership and welcome you into our church family, or address any concerns that otherwise arise.

We offer a membership class, called Connect Class, taught by our pastors where you will learn about Pioneer Church, about what we expect of you as a member, and about what you can expect from us as your church. The class is held quarterly, in two parts. The first part is on Friday 6:00 - 8:30 PM. The second part is on Saturday 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM. A meal and childcare is provided.
