Pastor Trell is husband to Lauren and daddy to Oakland Bakari. He was born and raised in southern Georgia, and spent his college years in middle Tennessee after signing a football scholarship to Cumberland University. He is currently studying for his MDiv at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. The Lord saved Pastor Trell in adolescence and he began serving the church vocationally in 2016. In addition to his seminary education, he also completed the intensive Pastoral Internship of Capitol Hill Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Mark Dever. Pastor Trell's hobbies include working out, reading, hunting, fishing, hiking, eating all things edible and non-spicy, and spending time doing any and everything with his wife and their son.

Pastor Trell primarily serves Pioneer through preaching & teaching, leading the pastors, deacons, & staff, counseling/shepherding, and with general leadership & disciple-making within the congregation. He also serves in other ways within Rock Hill and beyond, regularly contributing to content for the 9Marks organization and currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Life House Women's Shelter.
