Jesus loved children and saw their value, and as His local church we do as well! For that reason, we want the children who come to Pioneer Church to know they are loved, important and valuable to God and His Kingdom. We also want to give children a solid foundation of the story of the Bible and the truths of God we learn from His Word. We believe that parents are the main disciplers of their children, and we want to come alongside parents and point their children to Christ!
Sunday Mornings:
We will provide comfort for the babies in the nursery and play for our more energetic crawlers and toddlers. All of our ministry workers are vetted, background checked and trained to ensure safety for each little one. It is our desire to show God’s love to those sweet little ones as well as to their parents as we care for them!
In our explorers class children will play and have fun with teachers who are again vetted, background checked and trained to work with your little ones. We know that at this age children learn best by moving and interacting with the lesson they are given. For that reason, we have an interactive lesson each week along with plenty of play time. We also end each Sunday with a Big Group session where both our older and younger class come together and sing, review the lesson and learn about other people groups in need of the Gospel. Parents can bring their children for the entire service, but some families opt to keep their children in service during the worship time. This is up to you!
Our desire in Trailblazers is to go deeper with them as we walk through the Bible in “The Gospel Story” Curriculum. Students will learn to recognize the whole story of the Bible and how that story ultimately points us to Jesus! Every week we also have some play time and a snack time* for the children. The teachers for our Trailblazers class are also vetted, background checked and trained to serve the children. We actually have many professional teachers in this class, and they are excellent with the children.
Our Curriculum:
Both Explorers and Trailblazers (our elementary school class) go through the same lesson each week, although on the level that is suited for their learning ability. We are walking through the entire Bible using “The Gospel Story Curriculum” by Marty Machowski. Our desire is to assist parents in discipling their children, and this curriculum has a connected, easy to use, devotional book that parents can use to walk through the Bible weekly with their children if they would like to.
